The following Public Data Sources have been provided by members of the HPCC Systems Community.
Internet Movie Database (IMDB)
Access the Internet Movie Database locally by holding copies of the data directly on your system.

The World Bank’s Open Data initiative is intended to provide all users with access to World Bank data.
Wikipedia Database Download
Wikipedia offers free copies of all available content to interested users. These databases can be used for mirroring, personal use, informal backups, offline use or database queries.
Open Directory
The Open Directory Project is the largest, most comprehensive human-edited directory of the Web. It is constructed and maintained by a vast, global community of volunteer editors.
MusicMoz
MusicMoz is a comprehensive directory of all things music, edited by volunteers.
HostIP.info
Hostip.info provides free geocoding of IP addresses. Hostip.info is a community-based project to geolocate IP addresses, making the database freely available.
US Dept of Labor
A number of BLS programs provide information about joblessness.
